Agricair has an Ayers Piston Thrush which we have recently undertaken a propeller and engine overhaul in the U.S.A. to have operating again by mid November 2016. The Ayers Piston Thrush can carry loads of approx 1,000 litres of chemical (800 kg of dry fertilizer or seed), can spray 100-120 ha per hour and can expel dry fertilize or seed between 100-500 kg / ha which covers 60-100 ha per hour. The Piston has approximately 2 hours endurance and operates on Avgas A100 fuel with SATLOC GPS application alignment technology.
Agricair also has an Ayers Turbo Thrush (Picture 4) that is presently not operational as requires an engine and propeller overhaul, preferably to be completed before the on-set of the 2016 summer cropping season.
The Ayers Turbine Thrush can carry loads of approx 1,200 litres of chemical (1,000 kg of dry fertilizer or seed), can spray 120-150 ha per hour and can expel dry fertilizer or seed between 100-600 kg /ha which covers approx 70-100 ha per hour. The Pratt and Whitney turbine engine (750 hp) has approximately 3 hours endurance and operates on Jet A1 fuel with SATLOC GPS application alignment technology. Agricair also operates a small Cessna aircraft charter division that assists with affordable crew positioning, crew rotation, basic crew flight tests and training, aerial surveys / anti-poaching. Aircraft being operated in this division are one Cessna 182 (Picture 5) and two Cessna 206’s
